Background:
GIZ, on behalf of German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), has partnered with Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change (MoEFCC) in implementing Indo-German Technical Cooperation project titled “Climate Adaption & Finance in Rural India (CAFRI)” in the state of Himachal Pradesh with the Department of Environment, Science & Technology (DEST), GoHP. The project has been initiated in January 2020 in partnership with MoEFCC. DEST and GIZ have cooperated successfully to demonstrate innovative solutions to build capacities of the stakeholders at various levels to adapt to this changing climate. This way the CCRC (Climate Change Reference Centre) shall be a medium of understanding/learning about climate change adaptation & mitigation through interactive web-based learning. It shall showcase the demonstrative approaches adopted regionally as well as globally.
Objectives:
The Digital Climate Change Reference Centre will provide support for enhanced coordination and knowledge management for climate change action in the state, as part of CAFRI-MoEFCC project, GIZ is supporting Department of Environment, Science & Technology, GoHP for setting up of “Digital Climate Change Reference Centre”. The Digital Climate Change Reference Centre as envisaged under the project aims to strengthen information exchange on climate change, and coordination among relevant stakeholders at state level. The CCRC shall be a one-stop platform for learning and to gain knowledge about climate change adaptation and mitigation, its approaches through interactive web-based learnings etc. acting as a digital repository for climate change knowledge and references at regional, national, and international level.
Tasks of the assignment:
Construction of DIGITAL CLIMATE CHANGE REFERENCE CENTRE AT Department of Environment, Science and Technology, SHIMLA, HIMACHAL PRADESH. The selected firm will be working in close coordination and supervision with a GIZ identified agency .
The bidding firm will have to submit the proposal in hard copy and in a sealed envelope to Head of Procurement, GIZ Country Office, New Delhi – please refer to the bidding conditions and follow the instructions carefully.
